Ontario College Dialogues provides an opportunity for high school guidance counsellors to meet representatives from Ontario's colleges and get information on degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs, admissions, financial aid, graduate success, new college facilities and more.

Skills Ontario Competition

May 6-8, 2024

The Skills Ontario Competition is Canada's largest skilled trades competition. Over 2,400 students vie for medals in 70 remarkably diverse contest areas, as a crowd of 35,000+ captivated visitors cheers them on. The competition offers a unique opportunity for students who are pursuing a career in the skilled trades to excel, rise above the crowd, and demonstrate their skills and their enthusiasm for their career choices to educators, family and friends.

The Skills Ontario Competition offers many resources and insights into postsecondary options through the Career Exploration Showcase, where many of Ontario's colleges as well as ontariocolleges.ca have exhibit booths for students to visit.

College Information Program (CIP)

Throughout the fall, guidance and employment counsellors, high school students, adult students and potential learners from across Ontario have the opportunity to meet representatives from the province's colleges through the College Information Program (CIP).

Ontario School Counsellors' Association (OSCA) Conference

Oct. 16, 2023

The Ontario School Counsellors' Association (OSCA) Conference provides professional development for high school guidance counsellors and career educators, student success teachers and other educators. Over the course of the three-day conference, delegates have the opportunity to make new professional and personal contacts, network with other guidance and career educators and learn from dynamic keynote speakers. Workshops and presentations give attendees opportunities to learn about innovative programs and resources that will benefit the students they assist.

Ontario College Fair (OCF) 

Oct. 18 and 19, 2023

The annual Ontario College Fair (OCF) is an in-person event that brings together all Ontario colleges in one location. You can meet with college representatives to gather information about programs, campuses, and admission requirements. You can even learn how to apply to college from the event.

CRALO Conference

Nov. 15-17, 2023

The Committee of Registrars, Admissions and Liaison Officers (CRALO) is a provincial body dedicated to developing guidelines and procedures related to admissions, recruitment, registration, and student records for all Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology in Ontario.

Conferences held by CRALO cover various topics, such as the latest technology in collecting student data, future recruitment processes, changing college demographics, and the evolving application process. These events aim to keep college recruiters, admissions and registrar staff, and senior college administrators up to date with Ontario college application and recruitment processes.
