OCAS named one of Waterloo Area’s Top Employers for 2022

Guelph, ON (January 27, 2022) – OCAS, a Guelph-based organization that delivers shared technology and application services to Ontario’s public colleges, has been named one of Waterloo Area’s Top Employers for the seventh consecutive year.

Currently in its fifteenth year of running, Waterloo Area’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers that recognizes employers in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph areas who offer exceptional places to work.

“It is an honour to be recognized as a top employer in our region for a seventh time,” said Karen Creditor, President and Chief Executive Officer of OCAS. “OCAS is an amazing place to work because of the genuine care our employees take in supporting our partners, our community, and one another.”

Employers are evaluated on the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere and Social; (3) Health, Financial and Family Benefits; (4) Vacation and Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training and Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.

“This past year has shown why we place so much importance on putting our employees first,” said Eric Johnstone, OCAS’ Vice-President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer. “Our people are a big part of what makes OCAS a standout employer. We’re proud to be recognized for our continued focus on supporting our employees’ well-being and fostering a vibrant workplace culture.”
